For the past 40 years, the Beth-El Center has provided emergency food and shelter programs for the Greater Milford community. The Center was founded by the Combined Parishes Action Committee (CPAC), an interfaith group that first opened a soup kitchen in St. Peter's Episcopal Church in 1981, and in 1986, opened a shelter for homeless men, women and families. BEC officially opened its doors at 90 New Haven Avenue in 1995.

BHcare is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic. We provide a comprehensive and integrated system of care, with wrap-around services for adults, children, and families struggling with mental health, substance use, domestic violence, and other health-risk behaviors.

BHcare is licensed by the CT Department of Public Health and is nationally accredited by The Joint Commission.

BHcare is designated by the CT Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) as the Local Mental Health Authority for the following towns: Ansonia, Derby, Oxford, Seymour, and Shelton. Branford, East Haven, Guilford, Madison, North Branford, and North Haven.

Columbus House is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been providing solutions to homelessness since 1982. Throughout the years, Columbus House has expanded its mission and programs to include not only emergency shelter but a continuum of housing and services designed to help people who are homeless move toward independence. The agency's primary goal is to provide housing either through our own programs or through referrals throughout Hartford, Middlesex, New Haven, and New London counties to service-enriched or independent housing.

Connecticut Children’s is dedicated to improving the physical and emotional health of children through family centered care, research, education and advocacy.

The Department of Children and Families’ (DCF) vision is that CT's children are safe and sound and that they live with loving and supportive families.

We partner with communities and families to raise resilient, thriving children.

DCF also protects children. We serve as the State's lead agency for kids' mental health. Working with local communities, we set up and put in place prevention plans.

Clifford Beers Community Health Partners (CBCHP) is an integrated network of non-profits carrying forward a historic legacy of care that began in New Haven in 1913. We deliver comprehensive, community-based mental health and "wrap-around" services directly to children and families across Connecticut. By managing operations for our network partners, we streamline access to care and ensure every family has equitable support to thrive.

CommuniCare Inc. is a regional non-profit behavioral health coalition providing outpatient therapy, substance use support, and recovery services across Greater New Haven. As a provider designated by the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), we coordinate critical programs like crisis care and specialized counseling. Our mission is to streamline access to healthcare and deliver comprehensive, community-based solutions for local individuals and families.

Everyone has basic needs from stable affordable housing to medical treatment to food security.  Sometimes, legal problems prevent people from meeting those basic needs. We use our legal skills and advocacy to help clients, their families, and their communities solve urgent life problems. We focus on helping our clients secure stable housing, financial security, physical safety, healthcare, education, and personal autonomy.

Connecticut Veterans Affairs accomplishes this mission through four core functions: Advocacy and Assistance, Residential Programs and Services, Skilled Nursing Facility, and Cemetery and Memorial Services. These core functions enable us to implement our motto “Serving Those Who Served.”
