Helping Connecticut sleep better, one bed at a time.
⸻
1. Who can request a bed from CT BEDS?
We provide beds to children, women, men, and veterans across Connecticut who are sleeping without one. Requests must come from a verified organization, agency, or caseworker. We prioritize individuals in emergency, transitional, or at-risk living situations.
⸻
2. Is there any cost for the bed or delivery?
No. All beds are completely free. CT BEDS covers the full cost of the bed and delivers it directly to the home of the person in need.
⸻
3. What comes with a bed delivery?
Each bed delivery includes a twin-size bed frame and mattress. Thanks to our amazing partner, Linens of Love, every recipient also receives:
• A fitted and flat sheet
• A pillow and pillowcase
• A comforter
• A special gift for the recipient
This is part of our “Connecticut Welcomes You Home” package, created to offer more than just sleep — it’s about restoring dignity, comfort, and care.
⸻
4. How long does it take to receive a bed?
Delivery times vary depending on inventory, location, and urgency of need. Once a request is approved, CT BEDS will contact your agency to schedule the delivery.
⸻
5. Can individuals apply directly?
At this time, CT BEDS only accepts referrals through agencies, nonprofits, schools, shelters, and other community partners. If someone in need is not connected to an organization, they can contact us and we’ll help connect them to a referral source.
⸻
6. What size beds are available?
We primarily provide twin-size beds, which are suitable for both children and adults. Special requests may be considered based on need and availability.
⸻
7. Will CT BEDS take photos or videos?
With permission from the referring agency, CT BEDS may take photos or videos of the bed build. These may be used on our website, social media, or other outreach materials to help raise awareness and support, never showing or identifying recipients unless explicitly approved in writing.
⸻
8. Can I help or get involved with CT BEDS?
Yes! You can sponsor a bed, donate, or spread the word. We welcome community partners, businesses, and individuals who want to make a difference.
